of residual magnetism. – for recovering residual magnetism we need to connect a
12V battery to the exciter or pilot
exciter. If connecting to the exciter connect
+VE to F1 and –VE to F2. Hold the F2 lead by the insulated portion of the
lead wire, touch F2 to the negative pole of the battery for about 5 to 10
seconds, then remove. If
connecting to pilot exciter connect +VE to J and –VE to K. This process is
called FLASHING.
Make sure that AVR is blocked with diodes or isolated.
