1.Re-wireable type - This has one advantage, cheapness. Dis advantages include it often deteriorates due to oxidation and it may deteriorates under faulty conditions and damage surrounding property.
2.Cartridge fuse - The rating is accurately known and the element is less likely to deteriorates, however it is not suited for high rated fault currents.
3.High Rupture Capacity (HRC) fuse - They will blow in approx. 0.25 to 3 cycles, this reduces danger to personnel and also reduces electro magnetic stress which tend to distort the apparatus.
