Wear
rings are replaceable rings attached to the impeller or the pump casing
to allow a small running clearance between the impeller and the pump
casing the wear of actual impeller and the pump casing.
It will prevent water leaking from HP side to LP side.
Two sets of rings are usually found on a simple pump although sometimes the impeller itself act as one of the wear ring.It is made of aluminium bronze.
